1. Introduction

IVLF Advisors LLC (“IVLF”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a legal, tax, and investment advisory firm based in Vietnam. We are committed to being a responsible custodian of the personal information we collect in the course of operating our business, including through our website at ivlf-lawyer.com and any other digital properties that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, our “Digital Services”).

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and otherwise process personal information in connection with our marketing, business development activities, and the operation of our Digital Services. It does not describe how we handle personal information in the course of representing a client, which is instead governed by our engagement terms, applicable rules of professional conduct, and our duties of confidentiality and privilege.

“Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, to a specific individual. It does not include information that has been anonymized, de-identified, or aggregated such that it can no longer reasonably be linked to an individual.

• Event and preference information, such as your dietary or accessibility requirements if you attend one of our events, and your stated preferences regarding the frequency or type of communications you wish to receive from us; and
• Any other information you choose to provide to us in the course of your interactions with IVLF.

You are generally not required to provide personal information to browse our Digital Services, although certain features (such as submitting a contact form) will not function without it.

Information We Collect Automatically

When you visit our Digital Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect and generate certain information, including:

• Device and technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, and screen resolution;

Information We Collect From Other Sources

We may occasionally receive personal information about you from third parties, such as: business contacts, co-hosts, or referral partners who introduce us to a prospective client; publicly available sources, including company websites, professional networking profiles, and press coverage; and business contact databases used to help us maintain accurate records of our professional network. We may combine information from these sources with information we already hold about you.

3. How We Use the Information We Collect

We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:

• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve our Digital Services;

We do not use information submitted through our Digital Services to provide individualized legal, tax, or investment advice unless and until you have separately engaged IVLF as a client under a signed engagement letter, following a conflicts check. We do not use personal information collected through our Digital Services to train artificial intelligence or large language models.

4. How We May Share the Information We Collect

IVLF does not sell your personal information. We may disclose the information we collect to the following categories of recipients, for the purposes described in this Policy:

• Service providers: vetted third parties that support the operation of our Digital Services, such as website hosting providers, email delivery platforms, analytics providers, and IT support providers, each of which is bound by confidentiality obligations and permitted to use personal information only as we direct;
• Professional advisers: our own accountants, auditors, insurers, or professional advisers, where necessary for our internal administration;
• Law enforcement and regulators: government authorities, courts, or regulators, where we believe disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law, or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of IVLF, our clients, or others;
• Business transfers: other parties in connection with a proposed or actual merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of some or all of our business or assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections; and
• With your consent: any other third party where you have given us your consent to share your information, or at your direction (for example, if you ask us to introduce you to a co-panelist for an event).

We may also share anonymized, de-identified, or aggregated information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, without restriction.

Where applicable law requires us to identify a legal basis for processing personal information, we generally rely on one or more of the following:

• Performance of a contract: where processing is necessary to respond to your request or to perform a contract with you, such as providing a service you requested through our Digital Services;

Please note that even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send you non-promotional communications, such as those relating to an ongoing business relationship.

Our Digital Services are directed at businesses and professional individuals and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and if we become aware that we have inadvertently done so, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Our Digital Services may contain links to third-party websites provided for your convenience. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices or content of any third-party website, and we encourage you to review the privacy notice of any website you visit.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our Digital Services, or for legal or regulatory reasons. We will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page to indicate when this Policy was last revised, and, where changes are material, we will endeavor to provide additional notice, such as a prominent notice on our website.
