Outward investment readiness is about preparing the business case, the structure, the funding and the approvals together. Vietnamese investors going abroad face rules on both sides: host-country law for the investment itself and Vietnamese rules on approvals, foreign exchange and reporting.
The check scores ten areas: business case, host-country due diligence, sector eligibility, structure, source of funds, foreign exchange, tax, approvals and registrations, reporting and exit. Each answer is worth up to two points, and the result is a score with a prioritised list of gaps.
Vietnam’s rules on outward investment changed with the 2025 Investment Law and continue to be detailed in implementing rules, so use the result as a preparation plan and confirm the current requirements before you act.
